Frequently asked questions

Where can I buy your work?

You can buy my work in my webshop! It might not always be stocked up with ceramics; I make small batches at a time and release my work in bi-monthly shop drops. If you want to get a heads-up whenever I’ll release another drop, you could sign up for my newsletter or keep an eye on my socials. 💚

What materials do you use?

I use stoneware clay and commercial (under)glazes to make my ceramic pieces. I take care to fire my work to the appropriate temperatures to make sure it can resist daily use. If you have a specific question, feel free to ask me!

Are your ceramics safe to eat / drink out of?

Most of them are. I will always specify on the product page whether a piece is safe to eat or drink out of, so make sure to check that before use! I generally only use materials that are safe for daily use on items that are intended to be used, such as bowls, mugs and plates.

Are your ceramics sustainable?

As sustainable as I can make them. 🙏 It’s good to realize ceramics isn’t an environmentally friendly craft (from the mining of the materials to the energy consumption of firing), but I try to practice it with attention for its ecological footstep. For example, I recycle my clay rather than throwing out my scraps, I use green energy (& solar panels — I wait for the sunny days!), and package everything I ship in recycled and reused boxes and packaging material. (No fancy branding, sorry!)

Besides, I try to make a habit of regularly creating an item of which the profit is donated to an environmental charity. In this way, I hope to give back as much as I take. Our planet needs it!

You can help me be sustainable by using and loving the pieces you get from me, and to take good care of them so they’ll last and make you happy for many years to come. 💚 It’s always good to reduce, reuse and recycle.
